Um pouco sobre mim!
Olá! My name is Glaucia!
I grew up in a city called Americana in the state of São Paul, Brazil, where I went to Law School at UNISAL - Salesian University of São Paulo. In 2017, I had the opportunity to participate in an interexchange program in the United States (California), which was essential for developing my English. I also obtained my Master's Degree in Political Science from the California State University of Fullerton in Spring, 2022.
On top of that, my level of Spanish, another beautiful language, is advanced. I understand the nuances of learning a second language and the differences and similarities between English and Portuguese, as well as Spanish and Portuguese.
I have been teaching Portuguese to foreigners since 2018.
In 2020, I created the PortugueseTime Podcast to help more people learn our beloved Portuguese. In the Podcast, you will find episodes about Brazilian Culture and stories for you to learn and have fun with!

PortugueseTime classes
Learn about what to expect when you go to Brazil, common situations/phrases, college-level tutoring, and professional conversations. We develop your lesson based on your current understanding of Portuguese, adapting to your level of interest and specific needs. Our classes include both English and Portuguese. In our classes, I will encourage you to always speak in Portuguese for you to feel confident while talking in another language.
I have experience developing practice activities with students preparing for the CELPE-BRAS test (Portuguese proficiency test).
Also, I offer classes that make learning another language fun and exciting, focusing on different types of media, such as music, movies, podcasts (such as PortugueseTime), tv shows, and documentaries. Additionally, I offer my podcast PortugueseTime to practice your listening, as well as learn about Brazilian culture.
